Sharon Strouse, MA, ATR-BC, LCPAT

Licensed Clinical Professional Art Therapist
Author, Teacher, Facilitator, Speaker and Survivor

Sharon's world dramatically changed on October 11, 2001 when her seventeen year-old daughter Kristin ended her own life. Sharon's own process of meditation and collage making, in response to the trauma of loss became a template for her work with others.

She is a grief and bereavement specialist and workshop presenter for:

  • The Compassionate Friends (TCF)
  • The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS)
  • The Association for Death Education and Counseling (ADEC)
  • The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP)
  • The American Association of Suicidology (AAS). 

She is a board member on the Johns Hopkins Medicine: Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Sharon is co-founder of The Kristin Rita Strouse Foundation (www.krsf.com) a non-profit dedicated to supporting programs that increase awareness of Mental Health through education and the arts.
